Here’s why we don’t use silicones in our products

Silicones in hair products can be a controversial topic amongst hair professionals. Freddie Knows chooses not to use them in their products and well we all know that Freddie knows best. 

The reasons why silicones are excluded from our range is because they can build up on the hair. Although this can make the hair feel smooth and appear shiny, the build up over time will weigh your hair down, making it feel greasy and heavy. eeewwww. 

There is a big impact that silicones can have on the health of your hair. As the silicone builds up on your hair and becomes difficult to remove the condition of your hair suffocating underneath the layers of silicone will still occur. Its better to address the problems and treat your hair instead of masking the issues with another problem.
